MC Sinners Series By Bella Jewel

Hello lovelies! So I spent the weekend away in Santa Barbara with the hubby celebrating his birthday and of course what does the beach call for? A great book! Let me tell you I was so glad to take the recommendation of so many bloggers out there and finally got a chance to read Bella Jewel's MC Sinner's Series! Hot, sexy, alpha bikers paired up with strong, beautiful, resilient female leads! What more could you want?!?!?!


Now usually with series, I usually pick one and tell you my favorite but that is utterly and hopelessly impossible with this particular series, and I will tell you why. All the male leads while yes they are all biker, alpha males who are incredibly sexy, they are all so different and tortured or broody in their own particular right. It is beyond difficult to tell you my favorite... I mean if you had to twist m arm and HAD TO HAD TO choose.... hmm.... I'd have to say Jackson, but Cade & Soik are also drool worthy book boyfriends!

The leading ladies all have been to hell and back in their own way and not only survived but they threw the devil the last punch. I LOVE THESE CHARACTERS! I cannot even begin to tell you how much I definitely enjoyed this series and Bella Jewel's writing! If you get a chance to read these I would definitely recommend you do!!!

I definitely recommend this series!! 5 out of 5 stars!!!

Maya Banks KGI Novels & Espresso with steamed milk

 

Thursday mornings are always tough, especially when you are going to be leaving on vacation Friday and minutes seem to drag by. That being said GOOD MORNING my beauties! Today I am having two shot of espresso with steamed milk lightly sweetened. Yup I am drinking warm coffee can you believe it? But its getting cooler and temps are lowering so, when in Rome I guess.

So last night I finished up the KGI novels by the wonderfully talented Maya Banks! Let me tell you I am sooo beyond excited and looking forward to my birthday in January (NOT because 31 is so exciting BUT because the next installment to this series will be available a couple days after my birthday!)

I read the series in order and if you love hot musculy aplha males and strong women who have been through hell and back and survive and thrive holy smokes these are for you!! That being said it is REALLY tough for me to pick one novel to focus on, but out of them I would have to say that OVERALL Forged in Steele was my utter and complete favorite!!!

 

Jackson Steele, the team leader of one of three (now four) KGI teams, is extremely sexy and I loved getting to know him and watch Maren, his lovely leading lady/doctor, peel away the layers of who he really is.

Througout the series you hear and watch everyone joke about how Steele is a machine, nicknamed the Ice Man, because well he is cold, calculating and will do anything to make sure his team gets in and out of missions alive and in one piece. Emotions do not infiltrate, they are not a part of him. That is until he gives into his magnetic attraction to Dr. Maren Scoffield.

Maren thinks Steele highly dislikes her because of his cold demenor whenever he is around her, something you also notice in previous novels, so it is so funny when Steele finally gives into his attraction and the way she is completely caught off gaurd by the way he feels.

Steele might be called Ice Man with his team and friends at KGI but holy smokes, he is beautiful and so sweet and giving of who he is with Maren that it literally takes your breath away! Being a KGI novel ofcourse it is filled with action, suspense, bad guys and hot guys with guns!

So if you like suspense, romance, hot rippily alpha males with hearts of gold and wonderful strong women leads KGI Novels are totally up your alley!!!

Maya Banks I give your whole series 5 stars and an A!!!

Personal Experiances by Tracy Lee and I wish I would have skipped the coffee and gone for wine!

It is not very often that you come across a book and it moves you. When I say moves you I mean completely and utterly emotionally and phyisically into real genuine tears. I came across this in this
book called Personal Experiances by Tracy Lee

 

 

I dont even know where to begin so that I don't give away any spoilers, but let me give it my best shot. Story starts off with a  young teenage girl and her first love. Elle & TJ. When reading these tidbits at the start it whisked me away literally to that feeling of having the world at your fingertips. Now I am only 30 and I know I am not ancient, but when I was reading the interaction between her and her friends and her boyfriend, with Lee's words i was reminded what that had felt, she really does show you what it was to be 16 & 18 years old again. Then it takes you to present day Elle and her life and how her life didn't go the way she had originally planned out for herself. She didn't marry her first love, she didn't  acomplish her dream of becoming a doctor, but you know that she wouldnt trade it in for anything because of the love and happiness she gets from being a mom to her twins and her younger daughter.

 

Now, this is not a book for those faint of heart. This story deals with tough subjects and isn't subtle about it. It deals with domestic violence, alcholism, and rape. This is one of the most raw, most gritty books and it puts it out there in a way that I have not really read before. Lee doesn't pussy foot around what happens closed doors, but she isn't completely in your face about it either. That being said I am a true believer that life hands you both good and bad, and life is totally what you make of it, and this book proves that. This is one of the most beautifully written stories I have read in a long time. The bad is there and you deal with it and you appreciate the beautiful even more because you know what bad is like.

 

Elle has been battered and hurt, but she holds on so strongly to keep going, not for herself but for her children, but even from the beginging of her present day story you feel her desperation. How badly broken her self esteem is, how horrible her husband is to her. but you also see that she isn't giving up, you see her need to keep going and she even  knows she is holding on by a thin thread. The fear she has of her husband is real, not only of what he could do to her, but of the fact that he wouldn't think twice to take her kids from her.

 

Then she gets a blast from her past, TJ McHale comes back into her life and the story travels into that part, which I will not completely go into in fear of spoiling things. What i will say is that TJ and Elle are beautiful together, the love that they had trancends over the seventeen years apart from one another, which is beautiful to see, and I for one was so happy to have had the honor of reading their story. They are hot together, the passion they had as young adults is nothing like what they have now. How their connection is there, how she still cares about him and her of him, but there are huge things they have to overcome... lies, deception, not to mention the monster of the husband that Elle is married to.

 

 Lee does a great job of creating believeable real characters, each with their own faults and strengths, each of them having been through their own trials and tribulations and then the end result was a beautiful product that was genuine and lovely even with the messiness that their decisions created.

 

Tracy Lee I give you 5 stars an A+.  Now to the reader, have your tissues ready, because it will make you cry! I recomend a bottle of wine with it as well :)

W. Ferraro's Hamden Series & an iced coffee w almond milk

Hello beauties!!!!!! Hope you are all having a beautiful Saturday! Here is Southern Cali It is a pretty day, but I hear it is REALLY windy over by my moms.... dang santa anas.... oh well it happens.

Hubby's out of state this weekend so I kept it simple and fast for my coffee this morning. As a tip to all women out there young and old and in between ALMOND MILK! Has twice the amount of calcium than regular milk and calcium is extremly important for us women!!

Okay so enough of my little PSA, I am completely excited about todays book review!!! I'm not sure how I found this wonderfully talented author, all I know is I am glad I did. It was a series in which I genuinely didn't read any other books in between, and I was like a crack addict trying to find my next fix, as i went from reading one book to another.... and with three kids under six reading one book is cause for celebration, but I read ALL THREE in the time span of like a weekend! They are fun, sexy (extremely sexy), wonderfully written books!

W. Ferraro made me want to move to Hamden! Into a beautiful charming little apartment/ guest house by a lake in Vermont that is owned by a hot single dad who does delicously naughty... OH WAIT!!!! That charming little place and job has already been taken by Ferraro's lead Mae Turney, in Ferraro's Three Of Hearts!

Man O man let me tell you that this first book of the series will get you hooked.

 There is something incredibly beautiful ( I personally think) of books that evoke emotions, even emotions that we sometimes hold in and don't let go of. Ferraro's writing does that, it reaches in and makes you feel. It makes you cry and laugh. For that I am in love with Ferraro's stories.

Mae is a curvy woman, and feelings of insecurity and self doubt are present as this hot single dad is interested in her. Sometimes as people we all sometimes feel not worthy, especially when it comes to love, and this books ability of looking into this beautiful, selfless character's mind, to see how she feels is absolutely genuine and real and one of the lovliest things I have ever seen. When she gets angry at him for being rude, you feel it with her, when she feels wary about over stepping certain boundries, you feel it along with Mae, and when her heart is aching you feel it as well. W. Ferraro I bow to you and thank you for this beautiful story of a woman who doesn't see everything that she is and for creating a  male character that not only does, but mans up fights for her as well.


Seth Finn, our male lead, has faults of his own. I like him. He is real, honest, human, and completely delicous! When he falls, he falls hard, and when he gets mad.... well its a nasty temper. His kids are incredibly stinking cute... and megan his little girl is a firecracker! One of my favorite scenes is when Megan and Mae meet for the first time. Incredibly cute and sweet and realistic of children her age!

I also love the way that Ferraro seamlessly introduces supporting characters in the first one, how without a lot of fuss you genuinely see the established friendships, especially between Seth, Dylan and Wes.

Just like in life we make decisions that form the outcome of things, and you do get to see that for every action there is a reaction.Ohhhh I made that a little omonious huh??? haha don't worry Ferraro will definitely NOT disapoint you! Not with the first of this series and especially with the other installemnts of the series!

Roxie Rivera & Starbucks Iced coffee w/ Milk, Raw Sugar

Hello my caffiene addicted scaliwags! HAPPY National Taco Day & National Vodka Day! For this reason (and because I am completely IN LOVE with this series!!!!) Today's post will be on Roxie Rivera's Her Russian Protector Series!!!!!!!!

For my beautiful latina readers out there I seriously think you will LOVE LOVE this series!!! Its liek the Latina Sex and the City mixed with the Russian version of the Sopranos/ Godfather!!!! Now let me tell you, these hot russian men that Roxie Rivera brings to life are completely drool worthy and completely blow Mr. Big to the water!

The series starts with Ivan & Erin's story, inwhich you are introduced to a slew of characters that the series follows. If you love sexy broody alpha male characters this is a MUST READ series!!!!!!!!!

RIGHT?!?!?!? Okay so the hotness of these books honestly does not stop at the cover of the book, but it is only the begining. As the series progresses the stories only get hotter and hotter!!! I do have a personal favorite of the series (so far) which is Dimitri and Benita's story. I love watching this girl come into her own sexuality, find friends, figure out her shit & fall in love!!! And Dimitri is honestly freaking HOT!!! Dimitri is the first book I read (on accident i read the series out of order) I one clicked this one first and decided to read it before going to purchase Ivan... Let me tell you since then, I have read the series AGAIN and in order!!! The girls are funny, sassy, sweet and totally relatable... I would be reading on and i was thinking I have a friend who is JUST LIKE THIS!!!!!

I also love the inter-culture factor in this series! You dont really see alot of that in books, and personally i enjoyed it!!!! I enjoyed the Russian words here and there that I learned, the fact that you learn about things like Russian foods & desserts. I also absolutely love Rivera's writing style, I can literally hear these men speak with their accents, and picture the scenes in my head!

Roxie Rivera you are honestly now one of my new favorite authors!!!!!! I have recomended this series to my own sister (who isn't a huge reader) and she LOVED Her Russian Protectors!!!!!!!!!!

I also adore that this series has more to come in the future!!!

Coffe Mate's Sug Free Vanilla Carmel & Ella Fox' Hart Family

Hey Everyone! Welcome to the Coffee Drinking Book Wench Blog.... A little place to talk about books (Probably mostly romance novels of all sub genres), support our favorite authors, and enjoy coffee... which for me it is usually over ice.

Now I am going to start my book review with a wonderful series that I seriously immediately got addicted to from the moment I was given my Kindle for Christmas of 2012. Throughout the year I have been following this author and let me tell you guys, she is freaking amazing!!!

Ella Fox, this one is for you.

The Hart Family Series is an amazing series that follows a group of siblings who have not had the easiest of beginings. Now as adults you see how the messed up way that they grew up influenced them now as adults. Now warning these characters are raw, real and the way Fox writes will draw emotions out of you. I cried, laughed, and my heart ached for the pain some of these characters endured. Not only the pain of their childhood, but the pain as adults trying to let themselves accept love into their lives.

Now what every woman wants to know... the men... Oh my my... the main guys in these books are seriously hot and sexy!

The series starts with Broken Hart, with the oldest Hart sibling Dante Hart and his assistant Sabrina.

Sabrina and Dante's story was beautiful. They both have been through so much, and even with their working together they somehow managed to fight their undeniable attraction for over a year, until one night their is no more denying themselves and fireworks fly!

I have to admit that Sabrina is one of my favorite characters of this series. Se is so honest and straightforward, and when Dante is having problems to commit, she isn't one of these fragile female characters who is weak and only holding on to whatever shred of attention she can get from the male lead. No not Sabrina. ( I wish i would  have been like her in my early twenties) From the moment where she sees that she is falling in deeper and he isn't offering more, commitment wise, she backs off no matter how much it hurts.

But when she realizes the truth about how he grew up, everything makes sense and she decides to fight for him. Man oh man when Sabrina decides on something she goes all out!

Broken Hart is freaking hot, sexy and completely a must read! Hope you fall in love with the Hart family the same way I did.
